Zeigler’s first book, Travels With Max: In Search of Steinbeck’s America Fifty Years Later has been adapted by Zeigler into a short film entitled “Steinbeck Country.” “Steinbeck Country,” featuring actor David Conrad, has won an Award of Merit from the Best Shorts Film Competition and has been selected for screening at the Borrego Springs Film Festival in mid-January in Borrego Springs, CA.
Gregory Zeigler is a life-long educator, writer, speaker and environmentalist. He is a former NOLS instructor and Executive Director of the Teton Science School in Jackson, Wyoming. Zeigler holds a B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA, and a Masters of Education from the University of Utah.
Throughout his career as a teacher and independent-school head, Zeigler presented papers at national educational conferences and published numerous articles on historical and educational subjects. He has acted professionally on stage and in film, including appearing alongside NFL-great Lynn Swann in an Instructional Television production, Arts Alive.
Gregory and his wife Dimmie have three adult children: Jamie, Alex, and Wil. When not gallivanting about in their Airstream named Winnie, the Zeiglers reside in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
