The Straw That Broke is Gregory Zeigler’s first environmental thriller. Also the author of the travel memoir, Travels with Max: In Search of Steinbeck’s America Fifty Years Later, Zeigler has enjoyed speaking all over the country about his American adventure, including several schools and colleges.
Gregory Zeigler is a life-long educator, writer, speaker and environmentalist. He is a former NOLS instructor and Executive Director of the Teton Science School in Jackson, Wyoming. Zeigler holds a B.A. from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA, and a Masters of Education from the University of Utah.
Throughout his career as a teacher and independent-school head, Zeigler presented papers at national educational conferences and published numerous articles on historical and educational subjects. He has acted professionally on stage and in film, including appearing alongside NFL-great Lynn Swann in an Instructional Television production, Arts Alive.
Gregory and his wife Dimmie have three adult children: Jamie, Alex, and Wil. When not gallivanting about in their Airstream Bambi named Winnie, the Zeiglers reside in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
